Carried out with the support of ICEX Spain Export and Investment and funded by the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) – Next Generation EU for the 2014–2020 period, with the aim of promoting investment in R&D activities by companies with foreign capital participation that are already established in Spain or planning to establish operations there.
This project is framed within the Comunitat Valenciana Programme of the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) 2021–2027. Its objective is to develop and validate a new generation of functional gummies made with prebiotic fibers and plant extracts rich in polyphenols, capable of modulating the intestinal microbiota and reducing postprandial glucose absorption.
Through this project, the aim is to contribute to the prevention of metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity through an attractive, accessible, and sensorially pleasant format.
The project “Research into novel algae extracts applied to the development of formulations for vegan confectionery”, file reference IMIDCA/2023/18, was carried out with the support of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness through the Cooperative R&D Projects Programme (PIDCOP-CV). The aim of the project was to research and develop new algae extracts and their application in new vegan confectionery formulations with a quality comparable to that achieved using ingredients of animal origin.
